A Big Imperial Stout Aged on an Oak Caribbean Rum Barrel

The concept for this beer was dreamed up with friends over a weekend long beer tour in Traverse City, Michigan. We talked more about it on another beer tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan and then some more on the “Makers and Shakers” tour in Lansing, Michigan. A lot of thought and ambition went into this particular been, The goal was to create a big imperial stout that would sock it to you in flavor and complexity. Mission accomplished.
